Volunteering, language & cultural immersion and regional tourism: Go Tico!'s summer service & intercultural trip has everything you would look for in a Middle or High school educational travel experience to Costa Rica: a perfect balance of community integration in a rural town and "tourist" time, this summer's trip offers:

Cultural & Language immersion: reside in the welcoming rural town of La Flor de Rio Cuarto, engaging in social activities with local kids and community members in Spanish

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to San Jose, Costa Rica
Overnight stay in cabins at Thermal Waters, Rest & Relax
Day 2: Travel to Community
Meet homestay families, walking tour of your home away from home, La Flor de Rio Cuarto, community night ice breaker activity
Day 3, 4, 6, 7: Service Project in Community
Teach daytime academic enrichment classes at local elementary school and coordinate afternoon time activities for local students, evening community events
Day 5: Industry Tour & Animal Refuge Visit
Guided tour and tasting of the best pineapple ever, viewing and feeding Costa Rican rescued wildlife
Day 8, 9: Travel to Juan Castro Blanco National Park
Overnight stay in park side lodging, hiking in park
Day 10: Last day in Community, Travel home!
